The story we have been reading the last 3 weeks has been Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson! We have learnt about the different characters, heled retell the story using a story map, identifying the beginning, middle and end. We have even changed the end of the story, using our imagination to think up different things the witch could make with her spell!

Ask your children what they remember about the story! Who are the characters? What does the dragon want to do? What happens at the end of the story? Did they enjoy the story? Why?
Next week we are moving on to look at another story by the same author: Stickman!
