This week we have continued exploring number 3. This has included subitising (recognising a small number of objects without counting) and looking for small groups of 1,2, and 3 in larger groups of objects.
You could try this at home with a plate and some small objects like raisins, blueberries or cheerios!
Put some on a plate a bit like this and see if you can find groups of 1,2 or 3 quickly. Encourage your child to talk about what they can see and how they knew it was 1,2 or 3!
We have also been exploring triangles of different kinds. All triangles have 3 corners and 3 sides but they can look quite different! Maybe you could go on a triangle hunt around your house, or outside on a walk this half term!
